Prasāda for Street Vision Ngo Chennai.

It’s ironic, but true. Local charity homes always need common household goods. Often their “most wanted” items are things we already have in our homes and don’t use anymore.

During Donation Program

We live in a food-dominated era and many of us have fancy kitchens with a wide range of products from brand new pots till huge packs of goods which we never use. Instead of keeping them for a “Maybe I’ll make a cake one day” opportunity, maybe the best choice is to donate them. Never should embarrassment prevent us from donating a product that is always in demand.

These things can make a meaningful positive impact in someone else’s life. This is when the team of Manjal Vanam Life Charitable Trust came forward to help Street Vision Social and Charitable Trust.

Street Vision is a Non-profit organization established by Ms. R. Seetha Devi. It mainly focuses on the upliftment and betterment of underprivileged children, girls and women. It is currently nurturing 53 children between the age of 5 and 16, with 24 Girls and 29 Boys.

We visited their home in the recent past and had a discussion about their requirements. Lately did we know that not many ask for requirements. They have only lived the plight of getting what others feel like donating. So, we made it a point to understand and get their needs and promised to cater the same.

Our enthusiastic member Mr. Rajagopal played a crucial role in delivering their needs within a very short time frame of 10 days. There are a lot of people to sponsor and fund for a meal. But, funding the staples and provisions for a month is purely the best help one can do to any charity home.
